Fagus-Werk Alfeld
the Fagus factory in Alfeld is located 30 km south of Hildesheim. The Fagus factory is considered a milestone in modern industrial architecture. The buildings designed by Walter Gropius are characterized by their glass façades and functional design. Visitors can experience the transition from traditional to modern architecture here. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, as the factory is considered a precursor to the Bauhaus and revolutionized 20th century architecture.
