KZ-Gedenkstätte Dachau

Nazi history free

The Dachau concentration camp memorial was the first concentration camp of the Nazi regime and served as a model for many later camps. Over 200,000 people were imprisoned here and tens of thousands died. Today, the memorial site commemorates the gruesome past with a permanent exhibition, original barracks, the roll call area, the crematorium and a gas chamber. Visits are free of charge and guided tours and audio guides are available to help visitors better understand the complex history.
