Staatliche Münzsammlung

The Munich State Coin Collection is one of the most important numismatic museums in Germany and a real highlight for those interested in history and collections. It is located in the Bavarian State Mint, a historic building near the Residenz. The collection comprises more than 300,000 coins, medals, banknotes and forms of money from all over the world and from different eras - from antiquity to the Middle Ages to modern times. Particular attention is paid to coins from ancient Greece, Rome and the German states.
